[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Koths Surname

Im helping my husband do family tree  i need help in finding any koths
that lived in western prussa befor it became part of poland, we have
tryed to find his 3 rd great grandfather we knew his name was Jacob
Koths and he married a maria koths, ( we don't know if koths was maria
maiden name) we think they were both born in western purssa. any info
