    In order to investigate this further, could you send me (privately) the
details of the situation you describe in your email.   Hopefully we can get to
the root of this phenomenon.
    It has always been advocated that the source film should be always checked
even though the data appearing on the pixel site or the SGGEE version of the
St Pete databases _seems_ accurate.  The people who worked hard to translate
the records and prepare the pixel were not infallible so mistakes were made,
no doubt.  Admittedly, it's pretty hard to do such a check if the data is
missed to begin with!

    Hi Nelson,

I had a similar experience with the St. Petersburg films.  I could not find
the maiden name of one of my g-g-g-grandmothers (it was not on the digital
page).  When (a year later) I looked at the actual film, it was right there!

It really did pay to look at the actual films.  But I never thought to check
the films for names that I haven't found on the pixel.
