[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Polish surname: UVOLOCH?

I need help with the Polish? surname UVOLOCH.  This spelling is from my 
German kinfolk in Canada - however, I have found no trace of such a name
anywhere on the internet.  I understand that there is no V in Polish, so
to begin with the spelling would look like UWOLOCH. The full name is 
Josephine UVOLOCH and she was born around 1840 near Plock, Poland.
If anyone has any ideas, please help - this is a real brick wall! - for me 
anyway.
