HelpNelson ,it appears from what ive seen, that a Filial
is almost more of a daughter church than a sister.
It looks like an older church is giving aid in the funding
and construction of a church in an adjoining area.
What im not certain of is whether the new church is made up
of members from the older church who have moved to this
new settlement area, or if it is an entirely new congregation
comprised of all new settlers.
Since they sometimes shared a pastor for a while, you may want
to check both churches when looking for records as they may have
 been brought back and kept at the mother church.
