Hello Cathy,
there was a village Goidinowe in the Militsch county, Schlesien [Silesia] 
province. In 1939 it was renamed to Amwald. The Polish name is Godnowa, its 
coordinates East 1 7degrees 20 min, North 51degrees 33 min. You find it 6 km 
northeast of Militsch [Milicz].
