My uncle's Russian military documents indicate that he was from the
colony of Novaya No.18. Long's list of place names lists "Novaya aka Nowaja
Caeciliewka(Nowaja-Semlja, Luck). I believe that "Novaya" was also known as
"Neudorf" located very near Gofmanka aka Hoffmanowka. If this information is
correct, would anyone know approximately when Novaya was settled as a colony
and by German people from which Polish parish(es)?
