Hi again, I rechecked with the "V" spelling of this name and came up with "Vaivre" and "Vajka" on Ravenstein but they don't seem likely. So then I checked a present day map of Poland and found "Falkow", located southeast of Tomaszow Mazowiecki, just south of Zarnow. Would that make any sense? good luck,diane g. kooij
