If any on the list live in Western Pennsylvania, the following may be of 
interest:

Plan now to attend an Eastern European Conference for Saturday, May 3, 2003, 
at
the Hilton Garden Inn, Pittsburgh/Southpointe Conference Center.  It is an 
all
day event with an ethnic buffet lunch included.  Southpointe is located off
I-79.  Ample free parking.

Conference Hours are:  8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

8:30 to 9:30 a.m. - Professor Jonathan D. Shea, A.G.  "Preliminary Steps to
Successful Genealogical Research in Poland, Belarus and Lithuania."

10:30 to 11:30 Matthew Bielawa - "Taking the First Steppe in Ukrainian
Genealogy."

12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Professor Shea - "Crossing the Ocean:  Sources for
Genealogical Information in the Archives of Poland, Lithuania and Belarus."

1:30 to 2:15 p.m.  Matthew Bielawa - "Multinational Vital Records of the
Habsburg Empire."

2:15 to 3:00 p.m.  Document translation by Prof. Shea and Matthew Bielawa.
People are encouraged to bring in their documents for translation.

More is being planned.
Total cost for the entire day is only $45.00.
