Hello Chris, hello Rose
try www.kartenmeister.com which covers all former German and now Polish,
Russian and Lithuanian localities, and use wild cards (*) to substitute
unclear characters.

Rawicz was the German district [county] capital Rawitsch, Posen province.
Wagrowiec was the German district capital Wongrowitz, Posen province.

Then try the Polish interactive atlas www.pilot.pl and enter the Polish
names. It even offers town maps and a short history in Polish of both
(choose the Rawicz south of Poznan at the Silesian border).

of Hilden, Germany
