    Those of you who have read Adam Giesinger's book "From Catherine to Kruschev" will be saddened to learn that he died on the 5 June in Winnipeg Manitoba at the age of 95.  Interment took place on June 11 in Assumption Cemetery in Winnipeg.
    He was born in a sod house in 1909 near what was to become the hamlet of Holdfast, Saskatchewan.  Much of his life was spent teaching throughout Saskatchewan but he continued his studies in chemistry and was awarded a M.Sc. degree in 1951 and a Ph.D. in 1957 by the University of Manitoba.
    He was very active within his church and was invested in the Knighthood of St Sylvester by Pope Paul for his services rendered for both Church and community.
    Adam was a past president of AHSGR.
