[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Sayings and Tales

Both my parents who were born in Russian Poland, had many sayings in
Polish - so us kids would not understand them.  We spoke German at home for
a long time.   They also had many German sayings which don't merit
publication on this List.   But "dumkof" was the favourite my Dad used when
dealing with two of my brothers.

One phrase that my Dad used a lot and loosely translates to'slide off my
back....?"  Does anyone know the German version?
