two other versions:
"Schreib dir's hinter die Ohren" - write it behind your ears (the place 
where little rascals get boxed - "eine Ohrfeige kriegen").
"Steck dir's hinter den Spiegel" - put it behind the mirror (where you 
can see it every morning).
