What exactly do you have from EWZ? Is it a Stammblatt or some other page from the application Ottilie filled out? Typically in EWZ the applicant only gives birth places of their parents, usually based on their memory. If Ottilie is your great aunt, why is she giving birth info on her brother-/sister-in-law? 1840s sounds too early to be your grandparents. The oldest person alive I have found so far in EWZ was born in 1850 (90 years old) so 1840s would set a new record. What region was Ottilie from - Polish or Russian Volhynia?

HEINRICH FEIFERT and KAROLINE FEIFERT (geb. STIEBNER). What I have been able to
learn has been 2nd-hand through the EWZ on my great aunt, OTTILIE FEIFERT (geb.
LAU). The information there stated that both HEINRICH and KAROLINE were born
in Polen in 1847 and 1849 respectively. Can anyone provide me with direction
on how and where I might be able to gather further information?

Additionally, I have been searching for information on my great uncle, EMIL
FEIFERT. Again, through information on OTTILIE FEIFERT (geb. LAU) on the EWZ,
it was stated that he was born in Krownau (sp?), Kreis Warschau (?). From the
information I have gathered, his birth there could be possible. However, in
researching that area, I have been unable to locate Krownau. Can anyone
provide me with some guidance here?

Thanks,
Kristen FEIFERT Clark
