Could this be KROMNO? I have seen it spelled with a W KROMNOW. It's a
short distance west of WARSAW.

Regarding Kristen Feifert Clark's interest in locating Krownau in Poland
I
see a Krowno on Shtetlseeker at 53 deg.45min., 18deg.13min. at 155
miles NW
of Warsaw and a Krone (German), { Koronowo (Polish) }at about the same
location on Mapquest.com. However neither of these seem to be in Kreis
Warschau ( Warsaw Administrative District).
