[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Maria Mathilde Scher

My great grandfather, Karl Litke wrote that he married Maria Mathilde Scher in Lodz on February 20, 1876.  He recorded her birth as being in Lodz on April 26 1853.  I have looked at parish records from Lodz for the years 1853 and 1876 but have not found her.  Any suggestions from this august body?

Incidentally, a while back, with the help of SGGEE members, I found Karl Litke's birth recorded in the Nowosolna Parish records for the year 1852.  I am hoping for a similar strike of gold.
