Michael,

It is possible the Lutheran (Evangelical) church in Bnin wasn't established 
until 1778.  Before that time you will have to search the Catholic records.

My experience with most Catholic records written in Latin is that the 
records may not show the full name in the entries, if the people were 
Catholic.  Johann married Justina at such'n'such place and that's it.
But, if they were Lutheran or Acatholic the surname is usually given plus a 
note that they were Lutheran or Acatholic - they were 'different' I guess. 
Lucky us!. Parents names are usually not given either.
