Hi Verna,
The Janke, Kruger and Schmidt names are common in the Michalki Parish,
Rypin, Poland and the records are available pre-1865.  If you can get back
to that time frame, that is one place to look prior to their move to
Volhynia.

Janke-Kreiger (Kruger)

Darmstadter

Zimmermann



Areas were -Luck

                   Mielic

                   Padew

                   Kielce

                   Hohenbach
