[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Birth record abbreviations

Hi Wendy,
  "Paten" are godparents according to my understanding of the language.
"Paten Mutter" godmother and "Paten Vater" godfather.  It was very much the 
relgious custom of the day to have godparents.
