[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] distances

In looking at the following map.  Maps -  Jerry Frank's Maps of Volhynia (northwestern Ukraine)  > webmapE  how would I figure out the distance between villages.  Is there some scale that can be used such as 1" = 10 km or such.  I am trying to judge the distance between villages and am having a hard time.  One village in particular is on one side of the page and the other is across the page.
