L = 'L' as in Like.
  If the 'L' has a diacritical slash on the vertical leg = 'w'.
"a' - 'a' as in father.
diacritic 'a' = 'on'
'k' = 'k'
Vowel combination 'ie' . . .
'i' before 'e' softens the 'e' vowel
sounds like: 'yeh'

Lon'Kyeh  (w/diacritic 'a')

A literary approach...
Each vicinity will add its own twang....
'Sounds like' is always the rule
