"Practical Web Design" is a magazine published in England. Every month they select 7 web sites created by amateurs for review and comment. Our SGGEE site was chosen for the July issue and was declared the winner of the 7 reviewed with 79 out of 100 points. We are now tied for second place in the list of top 20 for the past 7 months.

Comments included:

Under a large picture of our home page
- "Excellent planning and use of drop-downs in the navigation scheme makes this packed site a breeze to use."

Under a picture of the site index
- "The site index gives visitors an overview of what's available."

Under a picture of my map of Volhynia
- "The site is bursting with quality content."

Along with the ratings
- "Jerry has taken the great content he inherited and created a site that makes it a breeze to access. The design compliments the subject rather than vying for attention and creates an easy to use and valuable research resource."

Special thanks are due to Gary Warner for creating the initial content. Also thanks to Irene Kopetzke who patiently helped me to understand CSS basics and kept me on the straight and narrow regarding colour selection and other design issues. Matt Warner of course helps greatly with the technical side of things, especially for the various search functions and we thank him for that.

This magazine is generally only available at larger book shops such as Barnes and Nobel, Chapters, Indigo, etc. The article is on page 17 of the July issue.
