the "o" in Tschelog my be a "filling vowel" that is used in many German 
dialects. I found this also in Völ>o<k which originally is Völk.

In this way my own name would be spoken Kerep or Kerop.

Considering this, Tschelog could originally be
ZELG(ER)/ZILG or CYLK(E).
