[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] Question about a city name

Hi all:

I've been very slowly finding information about my greatgrandfather.
You helped me locate my grandfather Daniel Becker in Volhynia. I
recently found my greatgrandfather in the Ellis Island records.  There
are several Wilhelm Becker's and it took awhile to find out which was
the right one.  His place of birth looks like Pultus Russia. I have
checked all the sites that were provided before including using Soundex
searches and can't find anything remotely similar.

He is line number 28 on this record at ancestry.com

Any ideas?
