Hello everybody,
something about the VILLWOCK surname origin:
The original region of this type of spelling seems to be East Pomerania 
(Hinterpommern) where I found the name in late 18th century together 
with VIELWOCK, VIEWEG and FIEBIG. According to Hans Mahlow, 'Deutsches 
Namenslexikon':

    FIEBIG: farm or residence name deriving from Vieh-Weg = cattle path.

"Wohnstättennamen zu mhd. vihewëc »Viehweg«, dem Weg, auf dem das Vieh 
zur Weide getrieben wurde. Dieser Familienname konnte entstehen, da in 
fnhd. Urkunden oft b und w zwischen zwei Vokalen vertauscht wurden. Noch 
1790 liest man in einer schlesischen Urkunde vom Vieh, das auf die 
Viebige im Galgenfelde getrieben werden kann."

In old German hand writing 'h' may be mixed up with 'l'. The VILLWOCK 
name and similar spellings are not common in Poland.
