Hello Jeanne,
there were two major land owners Julian and Iwan (Johann) ARNDT in 
Scheremoschnja, Zhitomir, Beresowka in 1913 (see 
www.wolhynien.de/register/1913.htm ).
Since there is no Scheresowka at all, could the name be a mixing-up of 
Scheremoschnja and Beresowka?
