Jan,

Thanks for pointing out the Debina/Dembina situated betweel Klodawa and Przedecz, I forgot about this village. I believe any records of the inhabitants in this villages are found in both Przedecz records and some in Klodawa.
I have checked my Hofer map and it shows this particular village as De~bina (Deutscheichen).

The Hofer map does not have Debina Hol. or Eich Hol on it, near Rzuchow.

  Frank,

The correct Polish name is De~bina, which means oak-wood. There are lots of villages/towns in Poland called De~bina, but especially two are of interest to us because German settlers lived there:

  a) located at the coordinates 52.17'N 18.54'E, appr. halfway between Kl~odawa and Przedecz. In a Polish map from 1839 it is called De~bina Kolonia. This village is the larger of the two.

  b) located at the coordinates 52.08'N 18.45'E, appr. 8 kilometers NW of Da~bie. This is probably the one Rose mentioned. In the old Polish map it is called Holendry De~bina. This village can only be found on very detailed maps today.

Both could be candidates for the German name Eichholland. One of them (I don't know which) was renamed Deutscheichen during the German occupation in WWII.

  Hope this helps.
