Probably many of you had heard of this new claim by Titanic producer John Cameron that they "think" they have found the remains of Jesus and his wife Mary and a child Judah along with other family members in a tomb near Jerusalem. Fortunately others more qualified to critique this claim have given some sound rationale why this is likely coming to the wrong conclusion as provided in the article linked below.

How many "inexperienced" genealogists have come to the wrong conclusion thinking because a name matches one of their ancestors from the right place that this must be their relative. From the sounds of it Cameron's team is making this mistake. Jesus, Joseph and Mary were very common names back then. The statistical probability is high that you will find these three names in a family many times within the population of Jerusalem of that time.

I just thought it would be nice to point out another case of when you want to prove a certain point in your genealogical research, that you can be mislead by jumping to conclusions too quickly. Many of us have done that in our genealogical research and it seems it seems this group of anti-Christ wanna-be archeaologists is doing the same trying to benefit from the wake of the Da Vinci Code.
