  Hello to all,
  I have not been active the last couple of years and I don't know the procedure but I want to get started on my mothers side of the family. My name is Edward Scheibler and my mother was a daughter of Gustav Dreffs and Louise Wenzel(l). My father stated that my mother spoke a low German but who is to know. Louis father was William Wenzell, a roof thatcher. I have no written record of his wife but it was said to be"Wados or Wadow' (that sounds Polish to me)
  It was said that she worked for a 'physian' and the climate was mild.(i.e. grape fields)Gustave Wenzell, their son, had two sons. Pauline, the eldest daughter married a Reimer and Molly, the youngest daughter, married a Merke(they had four children.
  This I got from the family bible.
  Any suggestions?
