Many thanks to all who helped me with my question about Ingowangy and specifically
about an Anna Frendzel. To Joe who identified the town and pointed out that it was only
17 miles from Simnas, a town I had mentioned where my grandmother and her family had
lived. And to Worth Anderson who found the passenger list and ship manifest for Anna
Frendzel from Ancestry.com. I wrote to you Worth, but the letter was returned, and also the
letter I wrote to Otto who had information about Braddock,PA. Otto, I am familiar with Braddock
also, and have been there many times as a child and more recently in 2000. My mother was
also born in Braddock in 1908. What are some of the surnames of your relatives there? Maybe
we have some mutual relatives. I will have to do some more research to find out what the relationship
is to the Anna Frendzel who came to Braddock in 1906. My grandmother had a half sister named
Anna Frendzel who went to Braddock in 1899, and she married a Carl Schartner that same year.
But once again, thank you all for your help.
