My grandfather, Karl Pidde, and his 5 brothers all immigrated to the U S between 1907-1914. Grandfather came when he was 21 and as each brother reached draft age, they came to the US.  Am sure it must have been to avoid the Draft.  However, I have found that all of them registered for the military in the US.  My grandfather did not serve in the military here, but do not know about his brothers.
