Else or Elsa is more common and could be a possibility in your case. Many times the pastor/kantor might not have known the correct spelling, especially for lesser used names.

Eduardo - it may be that the given name Ilse is perhaps a family call name, 
 nickname, a variety of Alice, Eliza,  or Elizabeth.   There are  many 
variations and spellings for Elizabeth, beginning with an E or an  I.

the bride was ILSE KOMMERS, anyway there is no other record with  the name
