Having searched theSGGEE site to exhaustion, I need experienced help. Here is what I know:
August Weber, b. Oct. 18, 1858 (Poland or Russia); died July 15, 1941 in Berrien County, MI; I have the death certificate
Came to the U.S. from Bremen to Philadelphia on S.S. Main on May 4, 1910.
Parents: William or possibly Wilhelm Weber, birthplace Germany; mother-unknown Stiemke, birthplace, Germany
Spouse: Otitilia (Otelia, Tillie, Otillie) Guse, born 12/24/1865 in Poland, died Feb. 28, 1953 in Niles, Michigan (death certificate)
Children:: Edward J. b. July 16, 1892 in Volhynia, died Marcy 26, 1953 in Benton Harbor,Mi. He was the second husband of my grandmother Julia Hartwig Busse, for whom I have extensive information. Edward is the father of my father, who was their only child.Other siblings of Edward were: Gustuv, Fred, Emil, Alvina, Millie, and Olga. I believe all of the children came to live in Michigan. I would like to find information about the parents of August Weber and the parents of Otillia Guse. I also need to know where Kamionka is. I am taking a trip to Ukraine this summer. My focus has been on my grandmother but if my grandfather is from the same area, I'd like to kill two birds with one stone, since I may never make it back to Ukraine. Readers have been so helpful in the past. I hope you can help with this.
