I still have some questions.  I think the biggest problem is I'm not quite
sure how to use the resources on the website.

That sounds promising, and Flath is talked about as a family legend, "our
name changed at Ellis Island" sort of thing.  I don't have dates for the
siblings, but they are close enough I want to investigate further.  Where do
you find this information?

I heard that Adolph and Lydia went to Germany for 2 years before coming to
the states so it didn't seem outlandish - however, I'm not taking it as fact
until I can confirm.  I've started looking for records in that region in
Germany to try and confirm if that marriage did take place there and if so,
when.
