What to say about my family?! They found their way to Marseille and sailed
to Brasil. Ship: LES ANDES, in 1897.

My paternal family boarded a train in Kostopol, Volhynia for Libau,
Latvia. From there they sailed to Hull, England and followed the same route
as described by Bill Remus.
The women and children of my maternal family found their way to Hamburg,
Germany, presumably by train from Ellinow, Volhynia. From there they sailed
to Grimsby, England and then by train to Liverpool and from there to
Halifax. I haven't been able to track the route of the menfolk of this
family to England but they landed in Quebec City. They came to Canada a
year earlier than the women and children

For the people who decided to leave Volhynia for Canada
in 1890 what route would they have taken to get from the homes they
were leaving to England? Are there any stories told of this trek?
