Looking for information on the Hauch family who lived in Solomka/Freiderichsdorf 1840-1910. Several of this group migrated to Berrien County, Michigan by 1910.
The death record for Christian Hauch of Volhynia, Russia, who died in Berrien County, Michigan, in 1907, gives his father’s name as Christian Hauch (1) and his mother as Eva Zelt, both of Germany.  Christian Hauch was born on 04 Oct 1825 and his birth location is given as Germany in this death record.
There was an Eva Rosina Zelt who was baptized on 13 Dec 1803 in Schwetzingen, Baden, Germany.  It is believe that Christian Hauch (1) was born about 1801 in Germany.  He died in Volhynia, Russia in 1867 at the age of 65 years.  His Fredericka Hauch died in Volhynia, Russia on 06 Feb 1852 at the age of 44 years and would have been born about 1808.  Fredericka’s maiden name is recorded as Lechner.   Christian Hauch may have been married at one time to this Eva Zelt.
The Christian Hauch that came to Zhitomir Parish, Volhynia about 1831 was possibly from Poland.  There was a Christian Haug from the parish of Pfalzgrafenweiler or Freudenstadt, Wuerttemberg, Germany who immigrated to Poland from Durrweiler about 1800.  His wife was Anna (Stauffer) Haug.  This Christian Haug was from Dietersweiler and his wife Anna Stauffer was from Hallwangen.  Freudenstadt was the name of a parish in Wuerttemberg.  Their son was Christian Haug who was born 14 Dec 1801 in Durrweiler.  Many Germans moved into occupied parts of what had been Poland after 1795 as Napoleon was taking over parts of their native lands.  A Christian Hauk is listed as having migrated from Jozefostaw, Mazowien, Poland to Rovno, Volhynia with his family in 1839.  This is believed to be the Christian Hauch (1) who died in Zhitomir Parish, Volhynia in 1867.  The first Christian Hauch of Volhynia died when he was 65 years of age in Zhitomir Parish, Volhynia
on 04 Apr 1867.  His birth year would have been 1801 or 1802 close to the same year that the Christian Haug who was born in Durrweiler, Wuerttemberg, Germany.
