Hello all. I got this information today: Emelia Hoffmann May 18, 1863 was the daughter of Johann Hoffman (1835-1865) and Franziska Kern (b. 1840)
And not Alexander Hoffmann and Julianne Baumann as previously suspected.

Johann Hoffman dies at age 30 and Franziska who was then 25 married a Karl Traugott MUTSCHER and the two Hoffman children Emilia and Maria became step daughters of Karl Traugott Mutscher.

Karl Traugott Mutscher and Franziska (nee Kern, nee Hoffman) had 3 boys and 1 daughter Karl Mutscher, Eduard Mutscher, and August Mutscher and Julianne Mutscher.

The step daughters Emilia Hoffman and Maria Hoffman got married.
Maria married Ludwig Janke
and Emilia married August Massey in Tutschin in 1881.

Other notes say

(Name spelled MASSIE on the death record)- married in 1881, in Tutschin, AUGUST MASSE, born 15 August 1846 in Pomerania, Germany

This might make connections easier.
