Hi George,
My ancestors worked as cloth manufacturers. I am open to any ideas that help me find more information.

Could the name for which you are looking be some variation of "Blech"? I submitted "Familienname Blech" (family name Blech) into www.google.de and had numerous hits, some of genealogical nature.
