On this surname Hein, I can add the following:

My great grand uncle, Johann Gottlieb Lachmann was married 10 August
1858 to Luise Hein. I have no further information about the Hein
family but have for years been trying to figure out the identity of a
Beile/Bellah/Paula Lachmann who identified herself as my GGF, Samuel
Lachmann's "sister in law" Her husband was named Keyler and the couple
was in Berlin as early as 1931 and in sore straits by 1937. I don't
see a family connection anywhere among my GGFather's brothers. I've
wondered if the term "brother in law" could possibly be used by Beile
in an extended sense, so that perhaps she was the spouse of a first
cousin of my GGF???

Based upon the date of the marriage of Johann Gottlieb Lachmann and
Luise Hein it would seem that perhaps Luise was a sibling of Gottlieb
Hein.
