  Hello
I am helping out a very possible relative who lives in Germany and has just started looking through his family history. Unfortuately his father recently died and there is not much information to go on.
Can anyone think of how to find the following people who immigrated to Canada.
Following is a quote from Petra:
“As far as I know, my uncle Reinhard Schmidt, his wife and their children, Elder, Paul and Greta immigrated to Canada. Reinhard and son, Elder are dead, Paul and Greta are still alive. Unfortunately, I do not know what year they emigrated or what ship they were traveling.”

There are no dates nor name of ship they travelled on.
I have also included the rest of the information that Petra gave me.

""Rinas, 1870 Pisarjewka Ferdinand, Born Zhitomir
Rinas, Pauline (Potorski) In 1871 Reich. Parents Franz and Anne Potorski.
Schmidt, Elvira 12 Oct 1932 Krimanka, Born Zhitomir
Schmidt, Gustav 1907 Krimanka, Born Zhitomir abducted in 1937
Schmidt, Helmut 25 Dec 1929 Krimanka, Born Zhitomir
Schmidt, Wanda Dumbroka 1905, Born Zhitomir, born Rinas
Zoll, 25 Dec 1900 Adolf Pisarjewka, Born Zhitomir banned in 1937
Zoll Auguste Pisarjewka February 4, 1900, Born Zhitomir, born Rinas
Zoll, 2 Oct 1930 Dumbroka Ewald, Born Zhitomir
Zoll, Maria 29 Oct 1928 Dumbroka, Born Zhitomir""

""My father's name is Helmut Schmidt, he came with his sister Elvira and his foster mother, Auguste (Ewald and Mary and their children) in 1944 to Germany. My mother, Martha Smith, born Dohmen, he had met in Germany. Like I said, unfortunately I do not know very much about my family. I know that part of the family went to Brazil, some to Canada, some to Russia, and part to Germany"".
 -Petra-

I have checked the SGGEE record base for clues and only found a few things. Anyone have any ideas on how to proceed? It would be great if we could find the Schmidts who immigrated to Canada.
 Thanks
 Debbie Thoms (Rinas name connection)
