Hello Eveline, There is an awesome online database that you can search for free. I found Einwandererzentrale files for two great-grandparents, two grandparents, a grand uncle, grand aunt, my mother, and family of my great-great-grandfather's sister. I do not know where you live, but the National Archives in College Park, Md., will copy the files for a reasonable fee for you. The war records database at http://www.odessa3.org/search.html has the file numbers for all EWZ files. You can search by last name, birthplace, birth year. I would also recommend searching information on your family on the other databases. If you cannot prove you are a direct ancestor with documents, sometimes nothing is released or your e-mail message is not answered. Vera
