Before you click to make the map larger (anywhere on the map will do it),
take a look at the SW area of the map

About two inches up from the bottom, you should see Masiewo.
Click on this area of the map, and you will find Czoło.

Many would think that Grodno gubernia is entirely in Belarus.
False. It also included much of the area around Białystok.

Though people from Czoło appear sporadically in the Lutheran
records of Białystok, it really is quite a distance away. Most people
would have recorded births and marriages at the nearest Catholic
church. Since this area did not revert to Poland until the Second
Republic, the history of archiving is complicated. The State Archives
of Lithuania only recently shared a set of filmed Catholic church
records in its holdings pertaing to the Białystok region with
the Polish State Archives branch in Białystok. There is an inventory
of these records on a PDF file at their website.
