My, my, one cannot but turn on the computer, and there
are more indexed records for the area of Russian Poland.

Geneteka has the records for Łódź Trinity Lutheran church
indexed (with scans!) for the years 1870-1880. For marriages,
someone has also indexed the year 1828.

Go to the website http://geneteka.genealodzy.pl/ and on the map,
select "Łódzki" province. then, use the drop-down menu named
Księga.

I have often found it easier in a computer search on this site
to set the date parameters (from this year to that year) rather than
guess how to spell a surname.

I see also that the Roman Catholic Pabianice św Mateusz is also
indexed. No scans, but the names of parents of groom and bride
are shown. The Lutheran church begins in 1827; so here is one place
to look for records prior to that date. Of course, there will be several
other Catholic parishes in the area from that also feed into Lutheran
Pabianice. You need a gazetteer to tell you the Catholic parish
for your village, such as http://dir.icm.edu.pl/pl/Slownik_geograficzny/
It's in Polish, but there are guides all over the internet telling you
how to interpret an entry. You do not need to recognize more
than a handful of words to get the information that you need.

the marriages for Tomaszów Mazowiecki from 1833 to 1864
are also indexed; also show the name of parents. I mentioned
this a while ago, I believe, but the parents were not offered there then.

Happy Hunting.
