Hi Linda,

My interpretation is:

Preussenhaupt = Haupt Preussen = Main Prussia = Greater Prussia

Regards

Gerald

Subject: [Ger-Poland-Volhynia] What is the name?

Hi all,
Hi have found birth records in the VKP records for the sister of my
great grandmother.

The record with the mother's name that is transcribed correctly
has the father's name transcribed Preussenhaupt .
The issue I have with that name is that I can find no other records with
that name anywhere.
I've searched the German phone book and I couldn't pull up that name.
No Ancestry.com (world subscription) entry. The name sees to be non
existent except
for this record.
Anyone want to guess what the real name could be??

I have not rented the films to look for myself.
