Sorry - I looked up the wrong place - it's Ruenderoth or Ründeroth-and in Meyers-Orts it's on page 652, big city, and indeed in the Rheinland in the area of Köln (Cologne).  Just had cataract surgeries - can't read worth a darn!

Does anyone know the location RUENDEROTH, RHEINLAND, PRUSSIA? Is in Germany or 
Poland?

It was shown as the birthplace of someone who may be an ancestor although to my 
knowledge this ancestor was born in Poland. JewishGen Gazetteer or Kartenmeister 
came up with nothing. Is Google correct placing it in Germany?
