Yes this is typical.  Brides may be 16 years and grooms could be 18 years.

  I have a general question about marriage ages in Poland.  My ancestors 
  in Russia seemed to marry about age 20+ for the grooms, younger for the 
  brides.

  Does that seem to be typical for those living in Poland also?
