Jerry was invaluable when we were writing our book about my parents.  He supplied maps and gave permission to use them in the book.
Sincere condolences to Jerry's family.  Such a great contributor that will be sorely missed.

We have lost a giant in our community of German researchers. Jerry was
unfailingly helpful and a source of knowledge that will be greatly missed.
He was ever so helpful to me just this last spring when I was visiting a
couple of our mutual ancestral towns in Poland.
