Hi Beth,
in Russia we have Christmas vacations till January 12, later I will consult with the expert.

I doubt that in 1939 people were forcibly sent from the Soviet territory to the German zone (Danzig).
I assume that Reimond was sent in 1939 to the labor camp in the Arkhangelsk region, and his parents and the wife with children later, in 1941,
were sent to Kazakhstan.
In the SGGEE base I see two of his daughters - 1935 and 1938 year of birth, one of them married the Russian man, Vladimir Fomin. Where she is living now? From where has came to the database the information on Reimond's  death in Arkhangelsk on 31.03.1942?
Maybe you have already addressed to the Russian Red Cross?

This information can be useful for further searches (except all, in  Russian archives, as a rule, they demand the confirmation of relationship)

Best regards, Natalya
