*Still collecting potentially useful websites.....Aliens in the USA *

During WWI and WWII in the US, aliens were required to register with the
authorities. For WWI it was done locally and the records are all but gone.
However, for WWII the records exist and a search can be ordered from a
division of Homeland Security. There are comprehensive instructions and an
order form for a search at: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/g-1041instr.pdf and
also

*City and town Directories for British Columbia*
Vancouver Public Archives has digitised many city directories from their
earliest times to 1955. Perhaps you have ancestors who lived there.....

*Library and Archives Canada - Canadian Directories Online (New Version)
about 152 directories - although mostly in Ontario*

*Lutheran records *
Not sure how helpful this site would be, but searchers for Lutheran members
in the US might find some of the resources useful - it covers a number of
American states
http://genealoger.com/lutheran/luth_church_records.htm
It does link to many other resources.
It also has one for Pomerania (Pommern) http://genealoger.com/german/
pommern/ger_pommern.htm that is both English and German.
