>From Ulrich Mertens Handbuch Russland-Deutsche (the entry translated by me) New Pavlovka is located west of Alexandria (Oleksandriia, Aleksandrja) by Rovno (Rivne); Old and New P. appear as one community with a maximum 25 German farms (at the turn of the 20th century); in 1927 more than 80% of the inhabitants were German.

Using Google search words such as "Pavlovka Rovno Ukraine", you can access websites that have information about Pavlovka. One caution, there was also a New Pavlovka in the Odessa region of Ukraine.

Subject: [Ger-Poland-Volhynia] location of a Novo Pavlovka in western Ukraine

My maternal grandparents family members consistently record their dwelling place in Eastern Europe as Marjanowka, Rowne, Poland. My grandmother says she was married in Tuchin, Poland (which is nearby according to maps). However, she says she was born in Novo Pavlovka, Poland, and that her eldest daughter was born in Novo Pavlovka also. But, I have been unable to find a Novo Pavlovka near Rowne in either new or old maps of the area. Is anyone familiar with this village?
