[Ger-Poland-Volhynia] German & Russian military service records

My grandfather's brothers living in Retowka, Volhynia, during WWII were swept up by the opposing armies.  Heinrich Wagner (born 14 Jul 1874 in Retowka) was impressed into the German army about 1915.  Christian Wagner (born 13 Aug 1882 in Retowka) was drafted into the Russian army, probably a year or so later.  Both servived the war and emigrated to Canada in 1927.  Are there any on-line records of German or Russian service in WWI by men from Volhynia?  Thanks in advance.  Dan Wagner
